How To Install a LevelMate Pro on your Camper
LevelMate Pro is amazing little device to make leveling your camper so much easier. Now you can check level from inside your truck cab “live.” Combined with Anderson Leveling Blocks (Click here for our review), leveling takes a fraction of the time. It lets me get to why I am out camping which is fun and family time.
Unboxing:
LevelMate Pro comes well package with LevelMate Pro, Battery, Mounting Screws, Glue Spots, and Instructions. It is everything you need except Smart Phone (or tablet) to download free app, screw driver, and drill.
Let's Get Started
You need to download the levelmatepro app from your app store for your phone or tablet. Next you undo 4 screws for the top on the box. You lift the lid off to expose the insides but do not touch the circuit board. Simply add your provided “watch type” battery with the “+” up. Replace your box’s cover and re-install the 4 screws. Finally flick the little switch and open up the Levelmatepro App.

First you fill out all your information. This could be important to warranty but I am unsure if it is required. They are known for their amazing customer service! I went ahead and filled everything out to register the product with BlueLogic. Then you move to the next screen.

In this step, you temporarily mount your LevelMate Pro where you are going to permanently mount it. They make this easy with provided “dots of glue” which are almost like double sided tape. I installed mine upright in the front basement compartment in the middle top of it. I did this as it is best in the middle of the 5th wheel, out of sight, and close to the truck for good bluetooth signal.
Follow the on-screen instructions to get in your truck cab and signal testing the unit. Mine connected right up full signal the first time. I have read about people mounting further into their campers with no issues with signal. Once I had this done, I went ahead and used the provided screws and installed them with my cordless drill. The screws are to ensure it stays in exact same place. This is important so once it is programmed, it stays well calibrated. If it falls, you need to re-calibrate for best leveling results.
Continuing to Calibrate
This is a simply selecting units of measure, temperature format, and which side of the road your country drives on. I just stayed with the stock configuration.
LevelMate Pro Needs Few Measurements of your RV
Now it will need to know some important information about your camper. This is for LevelMate Pro to calculated “how unlevel your camper is” measurements. You need to provide the width of your camper and back to front measurement depending on what type of unit you have. For 5th Wheels like mine, you need to measure from the center of the back wheel to the front landing gear location. Mine was 19′ for front to back measurement on my 39′ Jayco 325BHQS.
All Calibrated and Ready to Go!
Now we are ready to go. You can go through the tutorial if you have never used a leveling app. But it is pretty darn easy to understand as it shows all your directions and how far out of level you are “live.”
The Screen You See While Leveling
Here is my 5th Wheel all leveled out so you see Green “0.00.” When I am out of level it will show me how many inches I am out of level in all directions. This is great as when I pull into a site, I can pick the most level place by looking at this screen. I have found level spots within a camping site where I didn’t need to level “side to side.” That is a huge PLUS of this system as it shows the measurements “live.” It even improves your camper placement within a camping site.
All Setup
Now you are all setup with your LevelMate Pro. It is an amazing tool for leveling your camper in the least amount of time and avoiding any stress. I always know turn on my app while I am pulling into a site. I check for the most level “side to side” location. Sometimes I do not even need to pull out my Anderson Leveling blocks. At $145 for the LevelMate Pro or $180 for the LevelMate Pro 2. You can not go wrong. The big difference between the two models is regular model is battery power only and the 2 has ability to be plugged into 12v power. Check out our LevelMate Pro Product Review (Click Here).
