Welcome to our new blog about RV camping life! We are excited about sharing our experience between campgrounds, products, modifications, and so much more! My name is Chris Higgins and I started camping as a child with my own parents. We evolved from tent camping to eventually owning a old Coleman pop-up camper. As a child, we went camping all over the Southern United States.
Fast forward to more recent times, I wanted to share the joys of camping with my children. We started out with an used 2006 Forest River Grand Surveyor in 2016. The camper needed work which I slowly improved over time. We got so much use out of it that in 2018, we decided to upgrade to a new 2017 Jayco 325BHQS bunk house camper. My 3 children now have come to love going camping everywhere as now it is the only way we travel. They have their own space with the bunk room in the back of the camper.
I bought the camper to share the love of camping with my children and decided to share it with the world through this blog. I will be sharing many different things from reviews of products, guides on camper modifications, and reviews on campgrounds that we travel. If I can inspire others to get outdoor and camping, I will see this blog as a success!
Please stay tuned as Spring Camping Season is kicking off. I will start with posts about “Opening” the camper for the new season including everyone’s favorite thing… MAINTENANCE! Our beautiful second homes on wheels require many different maintenance tasks that are easy but absolutely need to be kept up with or you are in for disaster down the road. This Spring Maintenance subjects will range from De-Winterization of the water system, “Spring Cleaning,” and more.
